National Programs for Civil Aviation Security

National Aviation Security Program:

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has designed this program to serve as a comprehensive reference for enhancing and safeguarding civil aviation security. The program aims to strengthen aviation security, playing a key role in the nation’s efforts to secure airports, aircraft, passengers, cargo, and shipments related to aviation. It includes a set of standards and regulations that align with international guidelines, such as those issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

National Aviation Security Quality Control Program:

This program focuses on all activities related to aviation security quality control, including audits, inspections, and security tests. It aims to assess the level of compliance with national requirements and ensure the highest security standards are maintained.

National Security Training Program:

The National Security Training Program aims to implement international agreements adopted by the Kingdom with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in accordance with Annex 17 of the Chicago Convention and the Security Manual (8973). The program requires the training of individuals responsible for enforcing security measures, ensuring their records are updated, and issuing the necessary licenses.

This program is executed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), which has established the standards for training, selection, and licensing of civil aviation security personnel. It applies to all employees working in this field and includes training on security procedures and compliance with international standards.

Additionally, GACA is responsible for the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the program to ensure it aligns with required standards and regulations.
